"My aim with this course is not only to teach you how to use WordPress to build a website, but also to build one that draws in your ideal clients. You want people to choose your business and know that what you have to offer is a great choice for them. And because of my years working in health and wellness, I’ve got a lot of knowledge to share in that regard. "

- Candice Eisner, 'Retired' Massage Therapist and your course instructor

Want to create a fantastic website for your clinic, practice, studio or other health & wellness business, but have no idea where to start?

What if I told you it is completely possible for you to create your own website that is:

easy to navigate and

really represents YOU?

Interested? Great! I know you can do it. I've been in your shoes and have done exactly this process for my own businesses (more on that below!).

In this self-paced, totally affordable course, I'm going to walk you through every step of the process to get your website created and launched.

Here's me talking a bit about the course and why I created it in the first place. This was recorded one week before launch. 🚀

Who is this course ideal for?

  • You do work with a health, wellness or fitness focus. This includes healthcare providers, fitness instructors, personal trainers and coaches, nutrition consultants, or anyone else who runs a small business or is self employed in these fields.
  • You like to learn new things and aren’t afraid to try (with some guidance!) new software.
  • You’re interested in learning more about branding, online marketing and a bit about design.
  • You’ve got some time! Like with anything where you do a DIY version, it is going to take some time to get it completed.

This course is NOT for you if:

  • You want to sell products online, with a full e-commerce package (like a shopping cart that allows people to buy dozens of different products).
  • You really don't have time to dedicate to building and maintaining a website.
  • You don’t have a business yet. Maybe you’re still in school, or maybe you’re really not sure what shape your practice and business is going to take, as you’re exploring the many options. In either of those cases, wait until you’ve got a more concrete plan.
  • You want a website with lots of custom features or a really unusual look. If that is the case, please hire a professional to help you out.

question? How 'techy' do I really have to be to take this course?

Not very, I promise! If you’re comfortable doing day-to-day tasks like checking your email, using word processors like Word or Pages, and surfing the web, you’ll be fine. I walk you through things step-by-step and you’ve got the videos and notes to guide you as you work.

Hi! A little about me and what I do: I'm a web designer, developer and business coach for health, wellness and fitness practitioners and business owners.

Before my current gig, I worked in healthcare for 13 years. So I really do understand what it's like trying to build a successful health or wellness business. With this course I'm hoping to help folks build better websites that attract great clients to their businesss.

Here's what we'll be learning:

Section One: Introduction
I give you some background on what we'll be creating in this course and why I've chosen WordPress as your website creation tool (hint: because it's awesome).

Section Two: Planning
Before we get to actually creating your website, there are some topics we need to go over in order to make it a success. These include things like focusing your business goals, branding, some design basics, and how to choose a domain name and web host.

Section Three: Content & Design
In this section we'll dive into creating your website content. We'll figure out our pages and layout, write content, talk about photos, pick a great WordPress theme, and more.

Section Four: Putting It All Together
Once you've got everything ready to build your site, we dive right in and start using WordPress to put all the pieces together! I walk you through everything you need to customise your website: creating pages, adding images, setting up your navigation, adding your logo, and so much more.

Section Five: Search Engine Optimization
Once you've built your website you want to do a bit of tweaking to make sure Google (and other search engines) indexes it in a way that will be helpful to your potential clients. In this section we go over SEO, the Yoast SEO plugin, plus getting your business listed on Google Maps and how to track basic statistics for your site.

A section dedicated to bonus content to help you make the most of your website!
